The wives of the Prophet ﷺ sent Fatimah, daughter of the Prophet ﷺ, to him. She asked permission to enter while the Prophet ﷺ was lying with Ayesha under her woolen wrap. He gave her permission, and she came in.She said, "Messenger of Allah, your wives have sent me to you to ask you for fairness regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafa."The Prophet ﷺ said, "My little daughter, do you not love whom I love?"She replied, "Of course."He said, "Then love this one," meaning Ayesha.Fatimah then got up and left. She went to the wives of the Prophet ﷺ and told them what she had said and what he had said to her.They said to her, "You have not helped us at all. Go back to the Prophet ﷺ."Fatimah, peace be upon her, replied, "By Allah, I will never speak to him about her again."So the wives of the Prophet ﷺ sent Zaynab bint Jahsh. She asked permission to enter, and he allowed her in.She said, "Messenger of Allah, your wives have sent me to you to ask you for fairness regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafa."Ayesha said, "Then Zaynab started attacking me. I kept watching the Prophet ﷺ to see whether he would permit me to respond, and I continued doing so until I realized that the Prophet ﷺ would not mind if I defended myself. So I turned on Zaynab, and it did not take me long to silence her."The Prophet ﷺ then smiled and said, "She is indeed the daughter of Abu Bakr."
حدثنا أبو اليمان قال أخبرنا شعيب عن الزهري قال أخبرني محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن هشام أن
أرسل أزواج النبي ﷺ فاطمة بنت النبي ﷺ فاستأذنت والنبي ﷺ مع عائشة في مرطها فأذن لها فدخلت عليه فقالت يا رسول الله إن أزواجك أرسلنني إليك يسألنك العدل في ابنة أبي قحافة فقال النبي ﷺ أي بنية ألست تحبين ما أحب فقالت بلى فقال فأحبي هذه لعائشة قالت فقامت فاطمة فخرجت فجاءت أزواج النبي ﷺ فحدثتهن بما قالت وبما قال لها فقلن لها ما أغنيت عنا من شيء فارجعي إلى النبي ﷺ فقالت فاطمة عليها السلام والله لا أكلمه فيها أبدا فأرسل أزواج النبي ﷺ زينب بنت جحش فاستأذنت فأذن لها فدخلت فقالت يا رسول الله أرسلني إليك أزواجك يسألنك العدل في ابنة أبي قحافة قالت عائشة ثم وقعت بي زينب قالت عائشة فطفقت أنظر إلى النبي ﷺ متى يأذن لي فيها فلم أزل حتى عرفت أن النبي ﷺ لا يكره أن أنتصر قالت فوقعت بزينب فلم أنشبها أن أفحمتها فتبسم النبي ﷺ ثم قال إنها ابنة أبي بكر
