Ayesha reported,

Whenever someone from her family passed away, the women of the gathering would disperse, leaving only the women of her close family. She would then order a pot of talbinah to be cooked, and bread to be crumbled into a tharid, after which the talbinah would be poured over the crumbled bread.She would say, "Eat some of this, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Talbinah soothes the heart of the sick and takes away some of the grief.'"

عن عائشة قالت

كانت إذا أصيب أحد من أهلها فتفرق نساء الجماعة عنها وبقي نساء أهل خاصتها أمرت ببرمة من تلبينة فطبخت ثم أمرت بثريد فيثرد وصبت التلبينة على الثريد ثم قالت كلوا منها فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن التلبينة مجمة لفؤاد المريض تذهب بعض الحزن
