The Messenger of Allah ﷺ received as his special share of the spoils on the day of Badr the sword called Dhu al-Faqar. It was the very sword in which he saw the vision on the day of Uhud. He said, "I saw a notch in my sword Dhu al-Faqar, and I interpreted it as a defeat that would befall you. I saw myself riding behind a ram, and I interpreted it as the leader of the enemy battalion. I saw myself wearing an impenetrable coat of mail, and I interpreted it as Madinah. And I saw cattle being slaughtered, and by Allah, what is slaughtered is good, by Allah, what is slaughtered is good."So it came to pass just as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said.
