The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever has mastered the first seven surahs is a learned scholar."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, I believe this chain includes "from his father, from Araj," but this is how it appeared in the book, so I do not know whether my father left it out or whether it is indeed transmitted without that link.
حدثنا حسين قال حدثنا ابن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ مثله قال أبو عبد الرحمن وهذا أرى أن فيه عن أبيه عن الأعرج ولكن كذا كان في الكتاب فلا أدري أغفله أبي أو كذا هو مرسل
