I missed him during the night and found him at al-Baqi. He said, "Peace be upon you, abode of a believing people. You have gone ahead of us, and we will follow you. Allah, do not deprive us of their reward, and do not put us to trial after them." She was referring to the Prophet ﷺ.
حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي العباس قال أخبرنا شريك عن عاصم بن عبيد الله عن عبد الله بن عامر بن ربيعة
فقدته من الليل فإذا هو بالبقيع فقال سلام عليكم دار قوم مؤمنين وأنتم لنا فرط وإنا بكم لاحقون اللهم لا تحرمنا أجرهم ولا تفتنا بعدهم تعني النبي ﷺ
