The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never omitted four units of prayer before Zuhr and two units before Fajr under any circumstance.
قال حدثنا وكيع حدثنا شعبة عن إبراهيم بن محمد بن المنتشر عن أبيه قال
كان رسول الله ﷺ لا يدع أربعا قبل الظهر وركعتين قبل الفجر على حال
Its isnad is sahih. Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Muntashir is reliable, as is his father, and their hadith is found in the standard collections (al-Jamaah). The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 3/58 no. 1182 in tahajjud, Abu Dawud 2/19 no. 1253 in prayer, Nasai 3/251 no. 1757, and Darimi 1/397 no. 1439.
