The Prophet ﷺ said, "The most hated of men to Allah is the obstinate disputer."
حدثنا يحيى عن ابن جريج عن ابن أبي مليكة
عن النبي ﷺ قال أبغض الرجال الألد الخصم
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Bukhari reported it in 8/188, no. 4523, in the tafsir of "yet he is the most fierce of adversaries", Muslim in 4/2554, no. 2668, and Tirmidhi in the tafsir, 5/214, no. 2976, and he graded it hasan.
