I asked Ayesha, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bathe from major ritual impurity at the beginning of the night or at the end of it?"She replied, "Sometimes he bathed at the beginning of the night, and sometimes he bathed at the end."I said, "Allahu Akbar. Praise be to Allah who has made the matter accommodating."I asked, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray witr at the beginning of the night or at the end of it?"She replied, "Sometimes he prayed witr at the beginning of the night, and sometimes he prayed it at the end."I said, "Allahu Akbar. Praise be to Allah who has made the matter accommodating."I asked, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite the Quran aloud or quietly?"She replied, "Sometimes he recited it aloud, and sometimes he recited it quietly."I said, "Allahu Akbar. قلت لعائشة أرأيت رسول الله ﷺ كان يغتسل من الجنابة في أول الليل أو في آخره قالت ربما اغتسل في أول الليل وربما اغتسل في آخره قلت الله أكبر الحمد لله الذي جعل في الأمر سعة قلت أرأيت رسول الله ﷺ كان يوتر في أول الليل أو في آخره قالت ربما أوتر في أول الليل وربما أوتر في آخره قلت الله أكبر الحمد لله الذي جعل في الأمر سعة قلت أرأيت رسول الله ﷺ كان يجهر بالقرآن أو يخافت به قالت ربما جهر به وربما خافت قلت الله أكبر الحمد لله الذي جعل في الأمر سعة
Its isnad is sahih. Burd bin Sinan is trustworthy, and his hadith appears in the Sunan. Ubadah bin Nusayy is reliable, distinguished, and knowledgeable, and his hadith appears in the Sunan. Ghudayf bin Harith had companionship with the Prophet according to the majority view.The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud 1/58 no. 226 in the Book of Purification, Nasai 1/125 no. 222 in the Book of Purification, and Ibn Majah 1/374 no. 1185 in the Book of Prayer.
