Ayesha reported,

Praise be to Allah whose hearing encompasses all voices. The woman who came pleading her case approached the Prophet ﷺ to speak with him while I was in a corner of the house, unable to hear what she was saying. Then Allah revealed, "Allah has indeed heard the speech of the woman who pleads with you concerning her husband" [Mujadilah 58:1] to the end of the verse.

حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن تميم بن سلمة عن عروة

عن عائشة قالت

الحمد لله الذي وسع سمعه الأصوات لقد جاءت المجادلة إلى النبي ﷺ تكلمه وأنا في ناحية البيت ما أسمع ما تقول فأنزل الله عز وجل {قد سمع الله قول التي تجادلك في زوجها} إلى آخر الآية
