The Prophet ﷺ would shorten the two rakahs to such an extent that I would wonder whether he had recited the Opening of the Book or not.
حدثنا سفيان حدثنا يحيى عن ابن أخي عمرة يعني هذا محمد بن عبد الرحمن عن عمرة
كان النبي ﷺ يخف الركعتين حتى أقول قرأ بفاتحة الكتاب أم لا
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman, nephew of Amra, is Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Saad bin Zurara al-Ansari. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 3/46 no. 1171 in tahajjud, Muslim 1/501 no. 723 in the chapter on travelers, and Nasai 2/156 no. 946.
