The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform his night prayer while I lay stretched out between him and the qiblah, like a corpse laid out for burial.
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عروة
كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي صلاته من الليل وأنا معترضة بينه وبين القبلة كاعتراض الجنازة
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it (1/492, no. 383), and Muslim (1/366, no. 512), and Ibn Majah (1/307, no. 956), all of them in the Book of Prayer.
