Abd bin Zamah and Saad bin Abu Waqqas brought a dispute before the Prophet ﷺ concerning the son of Zamah's slave-girl.Abd said, "Messenger of Allah, he is my brother, the son of my father's slave-girl, born on his bed."Saad said, "My brother instructed me that when I arrived in Mecca, I should look for the son of Zamah's slave-girl and take him into my care, for he is my son."The Prophet ﷺ saw a clear resemblance between the boy and Utbah, but he said, "He is yours, Abd. The child belongs to the bed. And you, Sawdah, observe veiling from him."
