The wife of Rifa Qurazi came in while Abu Bakr and I were with the Prophet ﷺ. She said, "Rifa divorced me irrevocably, and Abdul-Rahman bin Zubayr married me, but what he has is only like this fringe of mine," and she took hold of a fringe from her garment.Khalid bin Saeed bin al-As was at the door, not yet permitted to enter, and he called out, "Abu Bakr, will you not stop this woman from speaking so openly in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did no more than smile, then he said, "It seems you wish to return to Rifa. No, not until you taste his sweetness and he tastes yours."

دخلت امرأة رفاعة القرظي وأنا وأبو بكر عند النبي ﷺ فقالت إن رفاعة طلقني البتة وإن عبد الرحمن بن الزبير تزوجني وإنما عنده مثل هدبتي وأخذت هدبة من جلبابها وخالد بن سعيد بن العاص بالباب لم يؤذن له فقال يا أبا بكر ألا تنهى هذه عما تجهر به بين يدي رسول الله ﷺ فما زاد رسول الله ﷺ على التبسم فقال رسول الله ﷺ كأنك تريدين أن ترجعي إلى رفاعة لا حتى تذوقي عسيلته ويذوق عسيلتك
