Ayesha brought out to us a patched cloak and a coarse lower garment and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away in these two garments."
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثنا أيوب عن حميد بن هلال
أخرجت إلينا عائشة كساء ملبدا وإزارا غليظا فقالت قبض رسول الله ﷺ في هذين
Its isnad is sahih, and its narrators are well-known and trustworthy. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 10/277 no. 5818 from Ayesha, and similarly by Muslim 3/1649 no. 2080, Abu Dawud 4/45 no. 4036, and Tirmidhi 4/234 no. 1733, who said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Majah 2/1176 no. 3551.
