Whenever fever struck his family, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would order broth to be prepared, then he would instruct them to sip it. He would say, "It strengthens the heart of the grieving and clears away the ailment from the heart of the sick, just as one of you washes the dirt from her face with water."
