Farwa bin Masik reported,

I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, shall I fight the advancing of my people and the retreating of them?"He said, "Yes, fight the advancing of your people and the retreating of them."When I turned to leave, he called me back and said, "Do not fight them until you have called them to Islam."I asked, "Messenger of Allah, tell me about Saba. Is it a valley or a mountain?"He said, "No, rather it is a man of the Arabs who had ten sons. Six of them settled in the south and four in the north. Those who went south were Azd, Ashariyun, Himyar, Kindah, Madhhij, and Anmar, of whom are said to be Bajilah and Khatham. Those who went north were Lakhm, Judham, Amilah, and Ghassan."

حدثنا يزيد بن هارون: حدثنا أبو جناب يحيى بن أبي حية الكلبي عن يحيى بن هاني بن عروة،

عن فروة بن مسيك قال

أتيت رسول الله ﷺ فقلت: يا رسول الله، أقاتل بمقبل قومي مدبرهم؟ قال: نعم، فقاتل بمقبل قومك مدبرهم فلما وليت دعاني، فقال: لا تقاتلهم حتى تدعوهم إلى الإسلام قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، أرأيت سبا، أواد هو؟ أجبل هو؟ قال: لا، بل هو رجل من العرب، ولد له عشرة، فتيامن ستة، وتشاءم أربعة: تيامن الأزد، والأشعريون، وحمير، وكندة، ومذحج، وأنمار، الذين يقال: منهم بجيلة وخنعم، وتشاءم لخم، وجذام، وعاملة، وغسان.
