I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever misses the prayer is as if he has been bereaved of his family and his wealth."Hashim said in his version, I asked Abu Bakr, "Which prayer is this?"He replied, "The Asr prayer."Yazid said in his version, I asked, "Which prayer is this?"He answered, "I do not know."Zuhri said, As for this hadith which Abu Bakr narrated to us, Salim narrated it to us from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Whoever misses the Asr prayer is as if he has been bereaved of his family and his wealth."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب (ح): وهاشم عن ابن أبي ذئب، عن الزهري، عن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن،
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: من فاتته الصلاة، فكأنما وتر أهله وماله. قال هاشم في حديثه: فقلت لأبي بكر: ما هذه؟ قال: العصر. وقال يزيد في حديثه: فقلت: ما هذه الصلاة؟ قال: لا أدري. قال الزهري: وأما هذا الحديث الذي حدثناه أبو بكر، فحدثناه سالم عن أبيه، عن النبي ﷺ قال: من فاتته صلاة العصر، فكأنما وتر أهله وماله
