A man asked the Prophet ﷺ about praying in a single garment, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself was wearing two garments. He took one of them off, draped it over himself, and prayed in it. When he finished with the salam, he said, "Does every one of you have two garments available?"
حدثنا يزيد: أخبرنا أيوب بن عتبة
أن رجلا سأل النبي ﷺ عن الصلاة في الثوب الواحد، وعلى رسول الله ﷺ ثوبان، فطارق بينهما فتوشح به، ثم صلى فيه، فلما سلم قال: أكلكم يجد توبين؟
