Awf bin Malik reported,

I stood up to pray with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He began by using the tooth-stick, then performed ablution, then stood to pray, and I stood with him. He started by reciting Surah al-Baqarah. He did not pass a verse of mercy without pausing to ask Allah, nor a verse of punishment without pausing to seek refuge. Then he bowed, and remained in bowing for as long as he had stood, saying in his bowing, "Glory be to the Possessor of might, dominion, majesty, and grandeur." Then he recited Surah Al Imran, then another surah, doing the same as before.

حدثنا الحسن بن سوار قال حدثنا ليث عن معاوية عن عمرو بن قيس الكندي أنه سمع عاصم بن حميد يقول سمعت

عوف بن مالك يقول

قمت مع رسول الله ﷺ فبدأ فاستاك ثم توضأ ثم قام يصلي وقمت معه فبدأ فاستفتح البقرة لا يمر بآية رحمة إلا وقف فسأل ولا يمر بآية عذاب إلا وقف يتعوذ ثم ركع فمكث راكعا بقدر قيامه يقول في ركوعه سبحان ذي الجبروت والملكوت والكبرياء والعظمة ثم قرأ آل عمران ثم سورة ففعل مثل ذلك
