Fadala bin Ubayd and Ubada bin Samit reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, when Allah Almighty has finished judging creation, two men will remain. The order will be given to take them both to the Fire. As they are being led away, one of them will turn around and look back. The Compeller, blessed is His name, will say, 'Bring him back.' So they will bring him back, and He will ask him, 'Why did you turn around?'The man will reply, 'I was hoping that You would admit me into Paradise.'So the order will be given to take him to Paradise, and he will say, 'My Lord has given me so much that even if I were to feed all the people of Paradise, it would not diminish what I have in the slightest.'"The narrators said, Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would mention this, joy could be seen on his face.

حدثنا يعمر بن بشر قال حدثنا عبد الله قال أنبأنا رشدين بن سعد قال حدثني أبو هانئ الخولاني عن عمرو بن مالك الجنبي أن

فضالة بن عبيد وعبادة بن الصامت حدثاه

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا كان يوم القيامة وفرغ الله تعالى من قضاء الخلق فيبقى رجلان فيؤمر بهما إلى النار فيلتفت أحدهما فيقول الجبار تبارك اسمه ردوه فيردوه فيقال له لم التفت يعني فيقول قد كنت أرجو أن تدخلني الجنة قال فيؤمر به إلى الجنة فيقول لقد أعطاني ربي عز وجل حتى لو أني أطعمت أهل الجنة ما نقص ذلك مما عندي شيئا قالا وكان رسول الله ﷺ إذا ذكره يرى السرور في وجهه
