On the day of the conquest of Khaybar, I bought a necklace for twelve Dinars which contained gold and beads. When I separated its parts, I found that it contained more than twelve Dinars worth of gold. I mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "It must not be sold until its components are separated."

اشتريت قلادة يوم فتح خيبر باثني عشر دينارا فيها ذهب وخرز ففصلتها فوجدت فيها أكثر من اثني عشر دينارا فذكرت ذلك للنبي ﷺ فقال لا تباع حتى تفصل
Its isnad is sahih. Saeed bin Yazid, Abu Shujaa Himyari Iskandarani, is trustworthy, and his hadith appears in Muslim. Khalid bin Abu Imran is similarly trustworthy, and he was a jurist who served as a judge over Ifriqiyah.The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 3/1213, no. 1591, in the chapter on sharecropping, on selling a necklace containing beads, by Abu Dawud, 3/249, no. 3352, by Tirmidhi, 3/547, no. 1255, who said, hasan sahih, and by Nasai, 7/279, no. 4573, all of them in the chapters on sales.
