He used to narrate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "Whoever dies upon one of these stations will be raised upon it on the Day of Resurrection."Haywa said, meaning guarding the frontier, pilgrimage, or the like.
حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم حدثنا ابن المبارك عن حيوة بن شريح قال أخبرني أبو هانئ الخولاني أن عمرو بن مالك الجنبي أخبره أنه سمع
يحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ قال من مات على مرتبة من هذه المراتب بعث عليها يوم القيامة قال حيوة يقول رباط أو حج أو نحو ذلك
Its isnad is sahih, mentioned previously at 23825.23834 - With this same isnad, from Fadala bin Ubayd, who said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Every dead person's deeds are sealed except one who dies as a guard on the frontier in the path of Allah, for his deeds continue to grow until the Day of Resurrection, and he is safe from the trial of the grave."He said, And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The one who strives is the one who strives against himself for the sake of Allah," or he said, "in the way of Allah" ﷺ.Sahih (23834).
