Umm Mubashir came in to visit the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the illness in which he passed away. She said, "May my father and mother be ransomed for you, Messenger of Allah, what do you suspect to be the cause of your illness? For I suspect nothing other than the food that was eaten with you at Khaybar." Her son had died before the Prophet ﷺ from that same meal.He replied, "I too suspect nothing else. This is the moment my aorta is being severed."

Its isnad is sahih. Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Kaab is trustworthy, one of the great scholars, and his hadith appears in the Sahihayn. His father, Abdullah bin Kaab, was one of the senior Successors, and it is said that he had seen the Prophet as a child. Hakim graded the hadith sahih in 3/219, and Dhahabi agreed with him. It also appears in Abu Dawud, 4/175, number 4513, where he cites it through Abdul-Razzaq and mentions that he narrated it as mursal, while others narrated it as marfu.
