He said to Umar, "As for your remark that I have taken a kunya though I have no child, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself gave me the kunya Abu Yahya. And as for your remark that I am extravagant with food, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The best of you are those who feed others,' or 'those who provide food.'"

فقال لعمر أما قولك اكتنيت وليس لك ولد فإن رسول الله ﷺ كناني أبا يحيى فأما قولك فيك سرف في الطعام فإن رسول الله ﷺ قال خيركم من أطعم الطعام أو الذين يطعمون الطعام
