She died, so he said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "My mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?"He replied, "Yes."He asked, "Which charity is best?"He answered, "Providing water."So that became the water-supply of the family of Saad in Medina.Shuba said, I asked Qatada, "Who is it that says, 'That is the water-supply of the family of Saad'?"He replied, "Al-Hasan."
حدثنا حجاج قال سمعت شعبة يحدث عن قتادة قال سمعت الحسن يحدث
ماتت فقال لرسول الله ﷺ إن أمي ماتت أفأتصدق عنها قال نعم قال فأي الصدقة أفضل قال سقي الماء قال فتلك سقاية آل سعد بالمدينة قال شعبة فقلت لقتادة من يقول تلك سقاية آل سعد قال الحسن
