The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw in a dream that I was drawing water from a well, and there came to me black sheep and tawny sheep. Then Abu Bakr came and drew one or two buckets, and there was some weakness in his drawing, but may Allah forgive him. Then Umar came and drew, and the bucket turned into a large one in his hands, so he filled the trough and watered the flocks. I have never seen a remarkable man draw water as skillfully as Umar. I interpreted the black sheep as the Arabs and the tawny sheep as the non-Arabs."

قال رسول الله ﷺ رأيت فيما يرى النائم كأني أنزع أرضا وردت علي وغنم سود وغنم عفر فجاء أبو بكر فنزع ذنوبا أو ذنوبين وفيهما ضعف والله يغفر له ثم جاء عمر فنزع فاستحالت غربا فملأ الحوض وأروى الواردة فلم أر عبقريا أحسن نزعا من عمر فأولت أن السود العرب وأن العفر العجم
