The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted a concession to the camel herders, allowing them to spend the night away from Mina. They would throw the pebbles on the Day of Sacrifice, then for two days they would throw on either the following day or the day after, and then they would throw on the day of departure.
حدثنا عبد الرحمن حدثنا مالك عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ رخص لرعاء الإبل في البيتوتة عن منى يرمون يوم النحر ثم يرمون الغد أو من بعد الغد اليومين ثم يرمون يوم النفر
Its isnad is sahih. The hadith is found in Abu Dawud 2/202 no. 1975, and Tirmidhi 3/280 no. 955, both in the book of Hajj, and Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih. It is also in Nasai 5/273 no. 3069, and Ibn Majah 2/100 no. 3037, both in the book of rites, and in Malik, in the book of Hajj, 1/408 no. 218.
