I went with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to visit a dying man from the Ansar, and his family was weeping. I said, "Are you weeping while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is here?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let them weep as long as he is still among them. But once it has become certain, let them not weep."Jabr said, I related this to Umar bin Humayd al-Qurashi, and he asked me, "What does 'become certain' mean?"He replied, "When he is placed in his grave."

Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy and well known. Abdullah bin Isa is the son of Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Layla. However, he did not hear directly from Jabir bin Utayk nor from Jabr, and the two may in fact be the same person, as appears from what Imam Ahmad did, in which case the chain would be disconnected.The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 3/188, no. 3111, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on one who dies of plague, and by Nasai, 4/13, no. 1846, in the Book of Funerals, and also at 5/226, no. 3195, in the Book of Jihad.
