The Prophet ﷺ said, "Standing guard at the frontier for one day and one night is better than fasting and praying through an entire month spent fasting without break and praying without rest. If a man dies while stationed at the frontier, his righteous deeds continue to be credited to him until the Day of Resurrection, and he is shielded from the punishment of the grave."
حدثنا أبو المغيرة حدثنا ابن ثابت بن ثوبان حدثني حسان بن عطية عن عبد الله بن أبي زكريا عن رجل
عن النبي ﷺ قال رباط يوم وليلة أفضل من صيام شهر وقيامه صائما لا يفطر وقائما لا يفتر وإن مات مرابطا جرى عليه كصالح عمله حتى يبعث ووقي عذاب القبر
