Haritha bin Numan reported,

I passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while Jibreel was sitting with him on the benches. I greeted him and then went on my way. When I returned and the Prophet ﷺ had finished, he asked, "Did you see the one who was with me?"I replied, "Yes."He said, "That was Jibreel, and he returned your greeting."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري أخبرني عبد الله بن عامر بن ربيعة

عن حارثة بن النعمان قال

مررت على رسول الله ﷺ ومعه جبريل عليه السلام جالس في المقاعد فسلمت عليه ثم أجزت فلما رجعت وانصرف النبي ﷺ قال هل رأيت الذي كان معي قلت نعم قال فإنه جبريل وقد رد عليك السلام
