Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

On the day of Uhud, the Prophet ﷺ looked over the martyrs who had been killed that day and said, "Wrap them up in their blood, for I bear witness for them."Two or three men would be buried together in a single grave. He would ask which of them had memorized the most of the Quran, and that one would be placed at the front.Jabir said, "My father and my uncle were buried together in one grave that day."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن ابن أبي صعير

عن جابر بن عبد الله قال

لما كان يوم أحد أشرف النبي ﷺ على الشهداء الذين قتلوا يومئذ فقال زملوهم بدمائهم فإني قد شهدت عليهم فكان يدفن الرجلان والثلاثة في القبر الواحد ويسأل أيهم كان أقرأ للقرآن فيقدمونه قال جابر فدفن أبي وعمي يومئذ في قبر واحد
