The swords of the Muslims fell upon al-Yaman, the father of Huzaifa, on the day of Uhud, as they did not recognize him, and they killed him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wished to pay his blood-money, but Huzaifa donated his blood-money as charity to the Muslims.

اختلفت سيوف المسلمين على اليمان أبي حذيفة يوم أحد ولا يعرفونه فقتلوه فأراد رسول الله ﷺ أن يديه فتصدق حذيفة بديته على المسلمين
