Mahmud bin Labeed reported,

The sun was eclipsed on the day Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died. People said, "The sun has been eclipsed because of Ibrahim's death."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon are two of Allah's signs. They are not eclipsed for anyone's death or life. When you see them eclipsed, hasten to the mosques."Then he stood and recited what we thought was something like the length of Surah ar-Rad. Then he bowed, then rose upright, then performed two prostrations. Then he stood again and did the same as he had done in the first cycle.

عن محمود بن لبيد قال

كسفت الشمس يوم مات إبراهيم ابن رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا كسفت الشمس لموت إبراهيم فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن الشمس والقمر آيتان من آيات الله عز وجل ألا وإنهما لا ينكسفان لموت أحد ولا لحياته فإذا رأيتموهما كذلك فافزعوا إلى المساجد ثم قام فقرأ فيما نرى بعض الر كتاب ثم ركع ثم اعتدل ثم سجد سجدتين ثم قام ففعل مثل ما فعل في الأولى
