We went on a military campaign with Abdul-Rahman bin Khalid bin Walid, and four enemy captives were brought to him. He ordered that they be killed by being shot with arrows while bound. When this reached Abu Ayub, he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid killing in this manner."
Its isnad is daif, due to the obscurity of Abu Yaala, and even if he were al-Mundhir bin Yaala, he did not hear from Abdul-Rahman bin Khalid, nor from Abu Ayub. The hadith is sahih on account of the narration before it and the one after it.
