The Prophet ﷺ used to pray four units before Zuhr. Someone said to him, "You keep up this prayer regularly."He replied, "The gates of heaven open when the sun passes its zenith, and they do not close until Zuhr is prayed, so I love that something good should ascend for me to heaven."

كان النبي ﷺ يصلي قبل الظهر أربعا فقيل له إنك تصلي صلاة تديمها فقال إن أبواب السماء تفتح إذا زالت الشمس فلا ترتج حتى يصلى الظهر فأحب أن يصعد لي إلى السماء خير
