Dhi Mikhmar reported,

I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "The Romans will make a secure peace treaty with you. Then you will raid them together, and you will be granted victory, you will be safe, and you will gain spoils. Then you will withdraw until you camp at a meadow with hillocks. A man from among the Christians will then raise a cross and shout, 'The cross has prevailed!' A man from among the Muslims will become enraged, rise up against him, and smash it. At that moment the Romans will betray the treaty and gather for the great battle."Rawh said on one occasion, "and you will be safe, gain spoils, and remain there for a time, then you will withdraw."

حدثنا روح حدثنا الأوزاعي عن حسان بن عطية عن خالد بن معدان

عن ذي مخمر رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ قال

سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول سيصالحكم الروم صلحا آمنا ثم تغزوهم غزوا فتنصرون وتسلمون وتغنمون ثم تنصرفون حتى تنزلون بمرج ذي تلول فيرفع رجل من النصرانية صليبا فيقول غلب الصليب فيغضب رجل من المسلمين فيقوم إليه فيدقه فعند ذلك يغدر الروم ويجتمعون للملحمة وقال روح مرة وتسلمون وتغنمون وتقيمون ثم تنصرفون
