I was with Huzaifa bin Yaman in al-Madain when he asked for water. A local landlord brought him a vessel, and Huzaifa hurled it at him, almost striking his face with it.Then he said, "Had I not warned him once or twice before, I would not have done this to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us to drink from vessels of gold and silver, and to wear silk and brocade." He said, "These are for them in this world, and for us in the hereafter."This is the end of the hadith of Huzaifa bin Yaman .

Its isnad is sahih. Yazid bin Abu Ziyad is the Madani, and he is trustworthy, as previously mentioned. The hadith has already appeared at 23250. See also its cross-references there.
