The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us several parables, one, three, five, seven, nine, and eleven. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ expounded one of them to us and left the rest. He said, "There were a people who were weak and impoverished. A people of tyranny and great numbers fought against them, and Allah granted the weak victory over them. But then they turned to their enemies, employed them, and gave them authority, thereby provoking Allah's wrath upon themselves until the Day they meet Him."
حدثنا مصعب بن سلام حدثنا الأجلح عن قيس بن أبي مسلم عن ربعي بن حراش قال سمعت
ضرب لنا رسول الله ﷺ أمثالا واحدا وثلاثة وخمسة وسبعة وتسعة وأحد عشر قال فضرب لنا رسول الله ﷺ منها مثلا وترك سائرها قال إن قوما كانوا أهل ضعف ومسكنة قاتلهم أهل تجبر وعدد فأظهر الله أهل الضعف عليهم فعمدوا إلى عدوهم فاستعملوهم وسلطوهم فأسخطوا الله عليهم إلى يوم يلقونه
