When the month of Rajab began, the Prophet ﷺ would say, "Allah, bless us in Rajab and Shaban, and bless us in Ramadan." He also used to say, "The night of Friday is radiant, and its day is luminous."

Its isnad is daif. Zaidah bin Abu Raqqad Bahili is daif. Bukhari said in al-Kabir 2/1/396, "Munkar al-hadith." Nasai said the same in al-Duafa 13. Abu Hatim said, "He narrates hadiths from Ziyad Numayri from Anas that are marfu and munkar, and we do not know whether the fault lies with him or with Ziyad."Ziyad Numayri is Ziyad bin Abdullah. Ibn Main and others declared him daif. Ibn Adi said, "In my view, if a trustworthy narrator transmits from him, there is no harm in his hadith," and he mentioned some hadiths of his, saying that the flaw lies with those who narrated from him, not with him. This is the correct view, and that is why Bukhari, in his biographical entry on him in al-Kabir 2/1/328, mentioned no criticism of him.This hadith appears in Majma al-Zawaid in two places. In 2/165, at length, where it says, "Bazzar narrated it, and among its narrators is Zaidah bin Abu Raqqad, of whom Bukhari said, 'Munkar al-hadith,' and a group of scholars considered him unknown." And in 3/140, in abridged form, attributed to Bazzar and to Tabarani in al-Awsat. In both places, he forgot to attribute it to the Musnad.In my view, the reason for this is that it belongs to the Musnad of Anas but was recorded here out of its proper place, in the midst of the Musnad of Ibn Abbas, and I did not find it recorded in the Musnad of Anas as far as I have traced. This hadith is among the additions of Abdullah bin Ahmad.
