I prayed behind Isa, the freed slave of Huzaifa, in al-Madain at a funeral, and he made five takbirs. Then he turned to us and said, "I have not been confused, nor have I forgotten, but I made takbirs the way my master and benefactor Huzaifa bin Yaman did. He prayed over a funeral and made five takbirs, then turned to us and said, 'I have not forgotten, nor have I been confused, but I made takbirs the way the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did. He prayed over a funeral and made five takbirs.'"

Its isnad is hasan. Yahya bin Abdullah bin Harith Jabiri, but his hadith is graded hasan due to its corroborating narrations, for the hadith has already appeared from Zayd under number 19215, and Tirmidhi (3/334, no. 1023) said, hasan sahih. It is also found in Muslim (2/259, no. 657), as mentioned earlier.
