Someone who was with Saeed bin As in a campaign known as the Campaign of Khashab, and Huzaifa bin Yaman was with him, narrated to me.Saeed asked, "Which of you witnessed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"Huzaifa replied, "I did."So Huzaifa instructed them, and they put on their weapons. Then he said, "If any disturbance stirs against you, fighting becomes permissible for you."He led one of the two groups in a single rakah while the other group faced the enemy. Then this group withdrew and took the position of the other, and the other group came forward, and he led them in another rakah. Then he gave them the closing salutation.

حدثني من كان مع سعيد بن العاص في غزوة يقال لها غزوة الخشب ومعه حذيفة بن اليمان فقال سعيد أيكم شهد مع رسول الله ﷺ صلاة الخوف فقال حذيفة أنا قال فأمرهم حذيفة فلبسوا السلاح ثم قال إن هاجكم هيج فقد حل لكم القتال قال فصلى بإحدى الطائفتين ركعة والطائفة الأخرى مواجهة العدو ثم انصرف هؤلاء فقاموا مقام أولئك وجاء أولئك فصلى بهم ركعة أخرى ثم سلم عليهم
