When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lay down to sleep, he would say, "O Allah, in Your name I live and I die." When he rose, he would say, "Praise be to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection."
حدثنا سليمان بن حيان أخبرنا سفيان عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن ربعي بن حراش
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا أخذ مضجعه قال اللهم باسمك أحيا وأموت وإذا قام قال الحمد لله الذي أحيانا بعدما أماتنا وإليه النشور
