The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and said, "Women, is there not enough in silver for you to adorn yourselves with? Indeed, there is no woman among you who wears gold and displays it except that she will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن منصور عن ربعي بن حراش عن امرأته
خطبنا رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا معشر النساء أما لكن في الفضة ما تحلين أما إنه ما منكن من امرأة تلبس ذهبا تظهره إلا عذبت به يوم القيامة
Its chain of transmission is daif, due to the anonymity of the wife of Rabi bin Harash. Huzaifa's sister is Fatimah, and she has companionship with the Prophet. Abu Dawud narrated the hadith in the Chapter on the Ring, 4/93, no. 4237, Nasai in the Chapter on Adornment, 8/156, no. 5137, and Darimi in the Chapter on Seeking Permission, 2/362, no. 2645.
