I prayed one night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He began with Surah al-Baqarah, and I thought to myself, "He will bow at the hundredth verse." But he continued, so I thought, "He intends to recite the entire surah in a single rakah." He still continued, so I thought, "He will bow once he finishes it." But then he began Surah an-Nisa and recited it, then he began Surah Al Imran and recited that as well.He recited unhurriedly. Whenever he passed a verse containing glorification of Allah, he glorified Him. Whenever he passed a verse containing a request, he made the request. Whenever he passed a verse seeking refuge, he sought refuge.Then he bowed and began saying, "Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent." His bowing lasted nearly as long as his standing. Then he said, "Allah hears those who praise Him," and stood for a long time, nearly as long as his bowing. Then he prostrated and said, "Glory be to my Lord, the Most High," and his prostration was nearly as long as his standing.
حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا الأعمش عن سعد بن عبيدة عن المستورد بن الأحنف عن صلة بن زفر
صليت مع رسول الله ﷺ ليلة فافتتح البقرة فقلت يركع عند المائة قال ثم مضى فقلت يصلي بها في ركعة فمضى فقلت يركع بها ثم افتتح النساء فقرأها ثم افتتح آل عمران فقرأها يقرأ مسترسلا إذا مر بآية فيها تسبيح سبح وإذا مر بسؤال سأل وإذا مر بتعوذ تعوذ ثم ركع فجعل يقول سبحان ربي العظيم فكان ركوعه نحوا من قيامه ثم قال سمع الله لمن حمده ثم قام طويلا قريبا مما ركع ثم سجد فقال سبحان ربي الأعلى فكان سجوده قريبا من قيامه
