He prayed with the Prophet ﷺ, who would say in his bowing, "Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent," and in his prostration, "Glory be to my Lord, the Most High." He did not pass by a verse of mercy without pausing to ask for it, nor by a verse of punishment without seeking refuge from it.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة قال سألت سليمان فحدثني عن سعد بن عبيدة عن المستورد عن صلة بن زفر
أنه صلى مع النبي ﷺ فكان يقول في ركوعه سبحان ربي العظيم وفي سجوده سبحان ربي الأعلى وما مر بآية رحمة إلا وقف فسأل ولا بآية عذاب إلا تعوذ
