I was sitting with Hudhayfah when Abdullah bin Masud approached. Hudhayfah said, "Indeed, the person whose manner and conduct most resemble those of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, from the moment he leaves his house until he returns, is Abdullah bin Masud. I do not know what he does within his household. By Allah, those of Muhammad's ﷺ companions who are well-grounded in knowledge know that Abdullah is among the closest of them in standing before Allah on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو حدثنا زائدة عن الأعمش
كنت قاعدا مع حذيفة فأقبل عبد الله بن مسعود فقال حذيفة إن أشبه الناس هديا ودلا برسول الله ﷺ من حين يخرج من بيته حتى يرجع فلا أدري ما يصنع في أهله كعبد الله بن مسعود والله لقد علم المحفوظون من أصحاب محمد ﷺ أن عبد الله من أقربهم عند الله وسيلة يوم القيامة
