Huzaifa bin Yaman reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I was brought Buraq, a white animal, tall, who places his hoof at the farthest point of his sight. Jibreel and I did not part from his back until I reached Bayt al-Maqdis. The gates of heaven were opened for us, and I saw Paradise and the Fire."Huzaifa bin Yaman said, "He did not pray in Bayt al-Maqdis."Zirr said, "I said to him, 'On the contrary, he did pray.'"Huzaifa asked, "What is your name, bald one? I recognize your face but I do not know your name."I replied, "I am Zirr bin Hubaysh."He asked, "And how do you know that he prayed?"I said, "Allah says, 'Glory be to the One who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, whose surroundings We have blessed, so that We might show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing' [Isra 17:1]."He said, "Do you find in it that he prayed? Had he prayed there, you would all pray in it just as you pray in the Sacred Mosque."Zirr said, "And he tied the animal to the ring to which the prophets, peace be upon them, used to tie their mounts."Huzaifa said, "Was he afraid it would run away from him, when Allah Himself had brought it to him?"

عن حذيفة بن اليمان

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال أتيت بالبراق وهو دابة أبيض طويل يضع حافره عند منتهى طرفه فلم نزايل ظهره أنا وجبريل عليه السلام حتى أتيت بيت المقدس ففتحت لنا أبواب السماء ورأيت الجنة والنار قال حذيفة بن اليمان ولم يصل في بيت المقدس قال زر فقلت له بلى قد صلى قال حذيفة ما اسمك يا أصلع فإني أعرف وجهك ولا أعرف اسمك فقلت أنا زر بن حبيش قال وما يدريك أنه قد صلى قال فقلت يقول الله عز وجل {سبحان الذي أسرى بعبده ليلا من المسجد الحرام إلى المسجد الأقصى الذي باركنا حوله لنريه من آياتنا إنه هو السميع البصير} قال فهل تجده صلى لو صلى لصليتم فيه كما تصلون في المسجد الحرام قال زر وربط الدابة بالحلقة التي يربط بها الأنبياء عليهم السلام قال حذيفة أوكان يخاف أن تذهب منه وقد آتاه الله بها
