Huzaifa bin Yaman reported,

There were no households after households accompanying the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more shielded from harm than the households settled in this place. He also said, "You Arabs today engage in matters which, in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, would have been considered outright hypocrisy."

ما أخبية بعد أخبية كانت مع رسول الله ﷺ أكثر يدفع عنها من المكروه أكثر من أخبية وضعت في هذه البقعة وقال إنكم اليوم معشر العرب لتأتون أمورا إنها لفي عهد رسول الله ﷺ النفاق على وجهه
