Huzaifa bin Yaman reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the Hour, and he replied, "Knowledge of it is with my Lord. None but He can reveal when it will come" [Araf 7:187]. "But I will inform you of its signs and what will precede it. Before it there will be tribulation and harj."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, we know what tribulation is, but what is harj?"He said, "It is an Abyssinian word meaning killing. Mutual estrangement will be cast among people, so that hardly anyone will recognize anyone else."

حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بكير حدثنا عبيد الله بن إياد بن لقيط قال سمعت أبي يذكر

عن حذيفة قال

سئل رسول الله ﷺ عن الساعة فقال {علمها عند ربي لا يجليها لوقتها إلا هو} ولكن أخبركم بمشاريطها وما يكون بين يديها إن بين يديها فتنة وهرجا قالوا يا رسول الله الفتنة قد عرفناها فالهرج ما هو قال بلسان الحبشة القتل ويلقى بين الناس التناكر فلا يكاد أحد أن يعرف أحدا
