I stood in prayer one night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he recited the seven long surahs in seven units of prayer. Whenever he raised his head from bowing, he would say, "Allah hears whoever praises Him." Then he would say, "Praise belongs to Allah, possessor of dominion, might, majesty, and greatness." His bowing was as long as his standing, and his prostration was as long as his bowing. By the time he finished, my legs were nearly giving way beneath me.
حدثنا سريج بن النعمان حدثنا حماد عن عبد الملك بن عمير حدثني ابن عم لحذيفة
قمت مع رسول الله ﷺ ذات ليلة فقرأ السبع الطوال في سبع ركعات وكان إذا رفع رأسه من الركوع قال سمع الله لمن حمده ثم قال الحمد لله ذي الملكوت والجبروت والكبرياء والعظمة وكان ركوعه مثل قيامه وسجوده مثل ركوعه فانصرف وقد كادت تنكسر رجلاي
Its isnad is daif due to the anonymity of the narrator who reported from Huzaifa. It is likewise transmitted from a man from Huzaifa in Abu Dawud, 1/321, no. 874, and Nasai, 2/199, no. 1069. The hadith itself is sahih, as it has already appeared with a different wording at 19005, and it is found in the Sahihayn and elsewhere, though not with this wording.
